ALL ABOUT PRODUCE

Nestled in the Suffolk countryside, Lavenham Brook is a mixed farm growing the finest Suffolk produce.

Our vineyard occupies a south-facing, chalky slope above the River Brett. We prune and harvest our 10,000 vines of Bacchus and Pinot Noir by hand for the best quality.

We produce a white Bacchus, Pinot Noir Rosé and our English Sparkling Brut. We already have a number of prestigious awards under our belt, including the 2013 Waitrose Trophy. Last year we received a Gold Award from the internationally-acclaimed 2019 Sommelier Wine Awards for our 2017 Bacchus.

Bacchus

Bacchus has now become one of the most popular grape varieties to be grown in England, owing to the dry and lightly fruity white that is produced in the temperate English climate. In recent years, English Bacchus wines have started to win top awards at international wine competitions.

Pinot Noir

One of the best-known grape varieties, Pinot Noir is famous the world over for producing some of the world’s most famous wines. We use this grape to make a wonderful rose that is perfect for the English summer.

Red Poll Beef

 

We raise Red Poll, a native Suffolk breed known for their superior beef quality. Red…because of their deep red colour. Poll…meaning they naturally don’t have horns. Our herd feed on 150 acres acres of rolling hills, water-meadows and organic clover from our arable farm.

Suffolk Lamb

 

Our Welsh Mountain - Wiltshire Horn cross are 100% pasture fed. These girls and boys graze everything from our vineyard to our organic clover leys and lush water meadows, making them (and our soil)  healthier.
